About Me

Born in Birmingham, England having always grown up around music Fonzo quickly achieved an early start in performing at the age of 8. While growing up Fonzo took an interest in reading and creative writing and began writing short stories for leisure. Being an avid movie watcher Fonzo became inspired by the flashy, but warm hearted mannerisms by Allen Payne's "G-Money" character from “New Jack City” which had garnered success as a cult movie within the urban community; firstly he adopted the name "P-Money" or often "Young Money" as a stage name. Many releases later he began recording under the Mononym "Fonzo".

Fonzo describes this as a name that encompasses his character more roundly. With age and life experiences his musical content also developed into a distinctive style through his travel and culture. Fonzo’s unique style is noted for soulful accentuation and implementing key sounds from the UK urban background and Jamaican culture thus presenting a unique style along with eclectic production.

With a style similar to none and the ability to contextualize songs telling stories through his music Fonzo has gained notoriety as one of the UK’s stand out artists.

Within a few months of releasing independent mix-tapes Fonzo garnered a vast underground fan-base and built strong connections local and worldwide consisting of such industry heavyweights as G-Unit's platinum producer Sha Money XL, UK's number 1 Award winning Disk Jockey Tim Westwood, Hip-Hop mogul and business entrepreneur Percy "Master P" Miller’s No Limit Forever Records. With accolades for his talents and an every growing fan base Fonzo has not just limited himself to music alone he is the founder of Bout Dat Tv, hold credits in film, poetry, fashion, community work and plays an intricate part in New Scene Wrestling a fast and uprising UK Professional Wrestling Company as head of talent relations.
