MOVIE MADNESS - LITTLE FOCKERS & TRON REVIEW

MEET THE PARENTS: LITTLE FOCKERS 8 OUT OF 10 (MOVIE OF THE WEEK)

It has taken 10 years, two little Fockers with wife Pam and countless hurdles for Greg to finally get "in" with his tightly wound father-in-law, Jack. When Greg and Pam's entire clan-including Pam's lovelorn ex, Kevin descends for the twins' birthday party, Greg must prove to the skeptical Jack that he's fully capable as the man of the house. But with all the misunderstandings, spying and covert missions, will Greg pass Jack's final test and become the family's next patriarch...or will the circle of trust be broken for good?

Right to start with this new installment to the franchise is definitely what you would expect, not shying away to what brought made it a franchise to begin with the magic is rekindled between Ben Stiller and not Teri Polo but veteran Robert De Niro! The movie starts with an introduction to the newest addition to the Focker clan in a son and daughter who i feel have been well casted as they play the characters really well. In addition we have new faces in Jessica Alba. Kevin Hart & Harvey Keitel. Not to get hung up on the new characters but they make a refreshing addition especially in the form of Jessica Alba who provides not only the eye candy of the movie but a funny performance as Andi Garcia (No Kidding) a young and impressionable workmate who develops a crush on Greg.

Owen wilson reprises his role as lovelorn Kevin and in the same respect as the first he is hilarious with the screen time he has. I think they was able to give everybody enough time to show there characters and a well written script supports that. Jack Bynes still being my favorite character he doesn't let down the expectancy he his the same Jack of old and plot in which Greg's mistruths get him into trouble once again we see Jack revert to his CIA ways. Only this time is Greg is a lot more mature and actually had more of a willingness to stand up for himself! As for the Focker clan they are back Striesand and Hoffman are once again stellar and Bernie Focker provides maybe the most romantic line i've heard in a non romance movie for a while (i wish i could remember the words lol). Lastly back for noteworthy appearances are Dr Bob (M.D.). and Jinxy cat! Fans wont be disappointed so with it not failing its predecessors and Bobby De Niro saying he would love to do more sequels its definitely one to watch and my movie of the week.

TRON LEGACY: 7 OUT OF 10

Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 20 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant, father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous. Tron: Legacy" is a sequel to the 1982 revolutionary film, "Tron" and marks the directorial debut of Joseph Kosinski. "Legacy" sets Kevin's son, Sam Flynn, 27 years in age as the main character who gets a message from Kevin (or so it is) from the world of Tron

Right, where can i start with this film. I watched this in awesome IMAX experience so that instantly was a plus to see the flawless graphics in HQ format, the 3D was not as impressive as an immersive James Cameron Avatar but was definitely good at enhancing the visual effects of the cyber world. I'll admit when I was younger i loved the movie Tron but found it hard to understand as it was very much before its time but the visual effects being so innovate what what i feel made it such a cult success. With today's technology the grid is looking awesome and the games work really well. They have taken the original concept to the next level visually as for the script it is very easy to follow. Maybe because the premise is very much true to life, you have the world on one big control grid you have the creator you have his creation who wants to cultivate a world takeover, you have the son you becomes the savior (sound familiar?). subliminally it is a battle of good and evil where we see the good guy on the mission to save the day and ride off into the sunset with the girl! The acting is well done from newcomer Hedlund and props definitely go to Jeff Bridges reprising his role as Flynn and also the eerie Clu which he embodies perfectly! Bruce Boxleitner returns as security program Tron (and Tron's "user", Alan Bradley). Altogether a good sci-fi movie which manages to have comedy, a deeper message, romance and a flawless design, if only this alternate reality word did exist! I can this this movie possibly becoming a new franchise and I for one would be there to watch what follows.

WEEKLY ROUND UP (20-26 - DEC - 2010)

Howdy folks,

This round up will probably be pretty square as it was the week approaching Christmas (a whole nother topic within itself). With bogus weather snow, ice, hail all that i wasn't looking to go anywhere i didn't need to.

Most of my week was spent lounging around watching movies and trying to write music/poetrybut gotta admit i've been lazy lol... I'm happy the Xmas hype is over and was kinda astonished how much people still buy into these commercial days and traditions *sigh*.

In other news i was alerted an ex of mine is now working a dead end job i wont insult anyone by saying where but hey guess somethings don't change for people, you try and live that fast life and things go fast its no coincidence I retain the things I do because i take my time and appreciate what I have. Last week was also a realization of me to evaluate the path I seemed to be gearing towards. Other peoples outside perceptions thought maybe not 100% accurate made me mindful to reflect on some things, which i have instantly put in place!!

The hype of boxing day in Birmingham cause chaos and Anarchy which led to a shooting in the bullring shopping mall :S and had implications on the night life so i didnt party this weekend, but did have the opportunity to see some family and have them school me on "music" which they didnt think i knew lol and tell me of a simpler time when they used to go out and party and the atmosphere was so fun and peaceful where people danced as apposed to mean mugging which i feel although i can apprechiate such music as Shalamar or Bobby Womack i'd love to have been born in that era!

I another funny note one of my cousins turned up with a lady friend who looked like she way a ghost !! Maybe because i nailed her and her sister a couple of years back! oops lol there's more to the story folks but i'm out of time got to review some movies!! peace and love

Short Definitions of what a men & women should be

Definition of what a man should be

The scholars have said that a full Man is the one that is 'Brave' and also 'Intelligent' (has insight to what is going on).

Without both you are just half a man!

Equally a definition of a Woman

A woman is a pillar of strength and elegance, with these two combined, a woman can achieve and liberate the tides of society, in doing this true beauty of the mind influences and enhances character in physical and spiritual, then comfort and support which should and is a natural characteristic of women blossoms

Food for thought!!

(Blog) all I have in this world is my balls, and my word (and I don't break 'em for no one!)

hey warlocks!,

not to put anybody business out there or to sound like im using other people to put myself over but its been an understanding to me for a while that a lot of guys i know that have girlfriends are the ones that cheat on them whilst me being the upstanding gentleman that i am i find disillusionment that i am so unlucky in love (que the violins).. Anyways I often find myself in conversations with guys and often I hear 'em say stuff like "mans will be mans" and "every-guy cheats" and when I tell them not I much to my chagrin they don't believe me!

There's an unbelievable amount of pressure on guys I think that its been enforced by other guys and girls that its what we do or what is to be expected that for some that's how they become. I think it is a shame as a lot of females even know when there "man" is creeping but either choose to ignore or just accept it as "mans will be mans".. Funny what people settle for these days :S food for thought!

BROS ICING BROS; ICE WALL OF SHAME

To bring y'all up to speed participants are encouraged to come up with elaborate ways to present the Smirnoff Ice to their targets by hiding bottles in inconspicuous locations, or in situations where drinking it would be dangerous or embarrassing (e.g. before they drive somewhere, attend a meeting, etc). Failure to drink, no matter the circumstance, results in the humiliation of the victim, and players are encouraged to shun those who refuse to play. If you are Iced by a fellow bro you can Ice Block. When presented w/ an Ice, you pull out an Ice of your own and reverse the Ice on your bro. The bro who is blocked must drink both. The ultimate Ice insult.

HERE GOES SOME OF THE VIDEO THAT CAN BE TELEVISED!!!

Misconception of Fonzo

I just thought to blog on this after a conversation with somebody which brought about the usual misconception i tend to get from females. There's always the assumption that I ave a lot of females interesting in me or I should be used to compliments and so forth when quite the opposite I'm often overlooked, extremely under-rated and to says the females i have been with have treated me like dirt would be putting it lightly. I'm not one of them arrogant guys who think there a cut above everyone else. I'm easily pleased, a stand up guy, respectful towards people, have integrity the list goes on but for those that care, contrary to what you may think I'm somewhat of a lonely heart.

PROFILE OF A SOCIOPATH

Glibness and Superficial Charm

Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."

Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

Incapacity for Love

Need for Stimulation
Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.

Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.

Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others.

Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.

Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.

Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.

Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.

Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility
Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily.

Other Related Qualities:

1. Contemptuous of those who seek to understand them
2. Does not perceive that anything is wrong with them
3. Authoritarian
4. Secretive
5. Paranoid
6. Only rarely in difficulty with the law, but seeks out situations where their tyrannical behavior will be tolerated, condoned, or admired
7. Conventional appearance
8. Goal of enslavement of their victim(s)
9. Exercises despotic control over every aspect of the victim's life
10. Has an emotional need to justify their crimes and therefore needs their victim's affirmation (respect, gratitude and love)
11. Ultimate goal is the creation of a willing victim
12. Incapable of real human attachment to another
13. Unable to feel remorse or guilt
14. Extreme narcissism and grandiose
15. May state readily that their goal is to rule the world

(The above traits are based on the psychopathy checklists of H. Cleckley and R. Hare.)

Visible symptoms include physical aggression and the inability to hold down a steady job. The sociopathsociopathsociopath also finds it hard to sustain relationships and shows a lack of regret in his or her actions. A major personality behavior trait is the violation of the rights of others. This can appear as a disregard for the physical or sexual wellbeing of another.

Although these symptoms are all present, they may not always be evident. Research has shown that the sociopathsociopathsociopath is usually a person with an abundance of charm and wit. He or she may appear friendly and considerate, but these attributes are usually superficial. They are used as a way of blinding the other person to the personal agenda behind the sociopathsociopathsociopath’s behaviour.

The causes are thought to be either genetic or environmental. Children who are influenced by antisocial parents may adopt these tendencies. Similarly, role models such as one's friends or peer group may also influence the behaviour pattern of a sociopath.

Does the Average Woman exhibit Narcissistic Personality Disorder?

I did a Web search using these keywords "self-centered, inconsiderate personality" just to see what would come up, the results blew me away. I discovered that most woman have "Histrionic/Narcissistic Personality Disorder. " if they meet all five of the criteria for the disorder:

1. Has a grandiose sense of self-importance.

2. Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.

3. Requires excessive admiration.

4. Is interpersonally exploitative (i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends) and lacks empathy.

5. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her.

do all women love themselves?

When I related these symptoms to some of my buddies, they observed that "this sounds like every woman in the world." It would certainly describe most beautiful women. You see Doc? Here's scientific data supporting your idea that "The Beautiful Woman is the most dangerous creature on the planet. "

Some women claim they are kind and loving (doesn't always seem to be true when you meet them), and the bottom line is they want a man who:

1. Is financially secure (I translate that to mean richly prosperous - some sort of corporate exec)

2. Will sugar-daddy them (women claim they love "fine dining," "travel," and "shopping")

3. Expect that *we* will overlook all of their problems, issues, and assorted baggage (but we had better be perfect).

Why can't a woman simply want a regular guy, who has an honest job, is clean, healthy, and takes care of himself? And why is it, when both parties are investing in one another to hopefully find a future together, that it is the man only who is expected to pay all of the tab?

Do we all have to be corporate executives, and be willing to assume all of the risk? Or is this just a New generation thing?

Trap Or Die U.K. Edition-Young Mon£y

5/5

Young P Mon£y, or Young Mon£y when he released this classic mixtape is a rapper from Birmingham. He has connections with hip hop heavyweights such as Sha Money XL, Master P and Tim Westwood, so we know that he is star certified, and this mixtape shows that he has the potential to be amongst those names very soon!

Bout Dat is a banging opener with a cracking beat and a great feature by Jigga B! Both put in great lyrical performances, but Jigga B's great rhyming pattern really steals the show on a great song and a perfect opener. Sha Money XL lends his hand in production early on in the mixtape with the great song U Got A Gang. Peedy certainly makes songs for the street, and this is an urban anthem with the hood beat and the classic dirty south thug rap vocals! Thug Passion was the single from this mixtape, and it's a very intelligent decision to release that song, as it is separate from Mon£y's usual gangsta style and is a much more mellow style, with an R&B laced beat and Chilli Palmer putting in a hypnotic vocal performance. U Kan Find Me is another track with a legend, Tim Westwood himself does an intro, and Mon£y does his appearance justice with this track. Following that is what I believe to be the highlight of the mixtape, Drivin' Wid Da Cadillac. A great beat with great lyrics, basically just a great song. It's a pity the song isn't very long as I believe it could have bought Mon£y into the mainstream with the right promotion! Young Mon£y then rocks the well known 'Push It To The Limit' beat, originally used by Rick Ross on 2 Da Limit. Peedy's flow is much like Ross's, as they both have southern hip hop rhymes, concentrating more on party songs than the over lyrical, and I think that this enables Mon£y to fit the beat perfectly. Veteran hip hopper Yukmouth appears on the Trap N**** song, with Young Mon£y standing his ground amongst a legend in the game. This song also features well known underground rapper Tha Realest. The next highlight for me is I.N.C. Gang, which features Young Mon£y's protégé's, Shaolin Soulja and Lil A.G., from Peedy's collective Bout Dat I.N.C. This song has a real gutter beat, with some classic rhymes! Lil A.G., one of the less prominent members of the Bout Dat clique, really shines on this song, hopefully he can make more appearances on future projects from the INC. The final standout song is Itz Dem Gutta Boyz. This features several dirty south rappers, and Peedy fits in really well with them. Rocking a No Limit sounding beat with heavy rhymes, Mon£y gives us a treat here.

Young Mon£y has critical acclaim all across the globe, and with this mixtape it's clear why. He's not the most lyrical rapper ever, but he makes great and classic songs, that are mainstream, yet underground and unique all at the same time. Let's just hope his forthcoming album matches up to this mixtape!

The Covenan+ By Bout Dat INC Gang

5/5

Bout Dat I.N.C. are a collective of Birmingham MC's. There are three stand out members, who could be viewed as the leaders of the camp, and they are Wordsmith, who is the lyricist and sounds like he was born to write bars packed with metaphors. Then there's the aggressive Shaolin Soulja who has a unique voice and an implacable accent. Finally there's the most well known member, Young Mon£y, who although has the least technical rhymes, he is the most listenable and really engages the listener. But don't get me wrong, the camp's talent stretches far outside the three lead members! Math is a promising youngster who displays swagger like no other! And Lil A.G. comes with hard hitting lyrics, and he is most like Shaolin in his technique and his vocal style! The first thing we hear from the INC is a freestyle with the three previously mentioned 'leaders' of the crew, and this really showcases what they can do! The next member of the click we hear that is new is Polo, on 'Hustlin' Frequent' with Young Mon£y, and he is one of the few in the crew who raps with a distinctive UK accent, and he really makes it fit in-between Mon£y's American style flow. Math then has a chance to shine solo, and he really does shine! The beat is a nice soulful, Kanye West style instrumental and Math makes it a really laid back track with his relaxed flow. The next highlight comes in the form of Not Ya Average. Wordsmith really steals the show here with a brilliant 16 with some killer lyrics and his flow really fits the style of the beat! Wordsmith comes hard again on his song For You, with a female vocalist called CAD on the hook. It's a really inspirational song and instead of Wordsmith's usual thugged out lyrics he bigs up pretty much everyone and encourages the people of the world to make something of your life, and this is just the kind of message we need in rap today! The tape soon returns to Bout Dat's signature, dirty south, gangsta style of rap with Shaolin's show stealer 'Where U @. It's an amazing beat and Shaolin comes with an aggressive flow and even more aggressive lyrics! This is really where he shines! The next highlight is Bixteen For Bixteen with Young Mon£y and Shaolin. Both trade sixteen bar verses for three minutes filled with aggression and some great multi's and metaphors. Shaolin Soulja's next solo track is a freestyle, it has some old skool, Mobb Deep style production and he seems to come with a 2Pac style flow which really highlights his vocals and his skill. Wordsmith, after not appearing since track 17 finally re-appears on track 22, Playin' 4 Keeps, which also features Young Mon£y. He makes a drum beat influenced backing feel really full with a fast paced flow and a Rakim style flow with lots of rhymes inside just one line! Peedy also puts in a great performance, and his hook is infectious! Wordsmith keeps up his great form on the next song, a duet with Shaolin called Murda, Murda. Words comes with some witty lyrics and Shaolin again shines with thugged out bars. The last song is an amazing closer. Banned From T.V. 07 features all of the main members of Bout Dat. Shaolin's opening verse has some great lyrics, and you can hear the US influence. Wordsmith comes with his most gangsta verse on the whole mixtape. Lil' Cam, with his only appearance makes a good impression, and hopefully he'll have more appearances on the INC's next tape. Lil' A.G. also comes with his best verse of the tape blowing his other appearances out of the water and Young Mon£y also comes with a memorable verse! A well mixed, by G Franchi$e, and a very high standard tape! A Must have!

INSPIRATIONAL STUFF

WHAT IS INSPIRATION?

Inspiration is a fragile thing...
Just a breeze,
touching the green foliage of a city park.
Just a whisper from the soul of a friend.
Just a line of verse clipped from some book.
Inspiration...
Who can say where it is born, and why it leaves us?
Who can tell the reasons for its being or not being?
Only this...
I can think inspiration comes from the Heart of Heaven...
To give the lift of wings,
and the breath of divine music
to those of us who are earthbound.

~By Margaret Sangster~

AN INSPIRATIONAL POEM

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
Whe he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

L.O.V.E. Y.O.U.R.S.E.L.F.

Let go of the "shoulds" in your life.
Open up to the miracle of now.
Value your uniqueness.
Explore your dreams and passions.

Yield to life - go with the flow.
Obey the voice of your Spirit.
Unwind - get cozy and comfy.
Renew yourself - body and soul.
Surround yourself with caring people.
Express yourself - be true to you.
Linger longer at what you enjoy.
Feel God's special love for you.

YOU HAVE WORTH

Do not undermine your worth
by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different
that each of us is special.
Do not set your goals
by what other people deem important.
Only you know what is best for you.
Do not take for granted
the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as you would your life,
for without them, life is meaningless.
Do not let your life slip through your fingers
by living in the past nor for the future.
By living your life one day at a time,
you live all the days of your life.
Do not give up
when you still have something to give.
Nothing is really over
until the moment you stop trying.
It is a fragile thread
that binds us to each other.
Do not be afraid to encounter risks.
It is by taking chances
that we learn how to be brave.
Do not shut love out of your life
by saying it is impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love;
The fastest way to lose love
is too hold it too tightly;
In addition, the best way to keep love
is to give it wings.
Do not dismiss your dreams.
To be without dreams is to be without hope;
To be without hope is to be without purpose.
Do not run through life so fast that you forget
not only where you have been,
but also where you are going.
Life is not a race,
but a journey
to be savored each step of the way.

A WORLD OF DREAMS

Lean against a tree,
And dream your world of dreams.
Work hard at what you like to do,
And try to overcome all obstacles.
Laugh at your mistakes,
And praise yourself for learning from them.
Pick some flowers,
And appreciate the beauty of nature.
Say hello to strangers,
And enjoy the people you know.
Don't be afraid to show your emotions,
Laughing and crying makes you feel better.
Love your friends and family
with your entire being,
They are the most important part of your life.
Feel the calmness on a quiet sunny day,
Find a rainbow and live your world of dreams.
Always remember life is better than it seems.

A CREED TO LIVE BY.

Don't dismiss your Dreams;
to be without dreams is to be without hope.
To be without hope is to be without purpose.
Don't run through life so fast
that you forget where you've been,
But also where you're going.

ONE

One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream.
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal.
One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room.
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey,
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what's true.
One life can make the difference,

You see it's up to YOU!

ALWAYS

Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.

Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue.
But don't forget to remember
Those that have stuck by you.

Always remember to forget
The troubles that have passed away.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.

~Author Unknown~

REMEMBER TODAY

Sometimes we tend to forget,
You have a purpose that is all your own,
No one else is you.
You have dreams and hopes and desires,
Listen to your heart for a while.

Remember today all the blessings you have,
There's beauty in every direction you look.
Enjoy the abundance that is already yours,
The world is a wonderful place and your're here.

Remember today that you get what you give,
Your world is a mirror of your inner self.
Love will be yours when you give it away.

Remember today that life is creation.
As long as you live,
you can always contribute Your own special voice.

Remember today is a special time,
Make the best of it while you can.

HOW OFTEN WE WISH FOR ANOTHER CHANCE

How often we wish for another chance
To make a fresh beginning.
A change to blot out our mistakes.
And change failure into winning.
And it does not take a special time
To make a brand-new start,
It only takes the deep desire
To try with all our heart,
To live a little better
And to always be forgiving,
To add a little sunshine
To the world in which we're living.

So never give up in despair
And think that you are through,
For there's always a tomorrow
And a chance to start anew.

~Author Unknown~

RELISH THE MOMENT

Yesterday belongs to history,
tomorrow belongs to God.
Yesterday's a fading sunset,
tomorrow's a faint sunrise.
Only today is there light
enough to love and live.
So, gently close the door on yesterday
and throw the key away.
It isn't the burdens of today
that drive men and women mad,
but rather the regret over yesterday
and the fear of tomorrow.

"Relish the moment" is a good motto,
especial when coupled with Psalms 118:24:

"This is the day which the Lord hath made:
we will rejoice and be glad in it"

So stop pacing the aisles
and counting the miles.
Instead...,
Swim more rivers, climb more mountains,
Kiss more babies, count more stars.
Laugh more and cry less. Go barefoot more often.
Eat more ice cream. Ride more merry-go-rounds.
Watch more sunsets.
Life must be lived as we go along.

~Author Unknown~

IF TODAY...

"If you planted hope today
In any hopeless heart.
If someone's burden was lighter
Because you did your part.
If you caused a laugh
That chased some tears away.
If tonight your name is named
When someone kneels to pray.
Then your day has been well spent."

SUNSHINE AND RAIN

No Life is useless and no day is vain,
For God has a purpose for sunshine and rain

All are discouraged and everyone cries
But we're never alone beneath cloudy skies,

All hearts can break... they're fragile as glass
But God will mend them, and this too shall pass.

Sometimes we succeed, and sometimes we fail
So follow your dream whatever the trail,

For no one's a loser who gives it his best,
and you can stand tall above all the rest.

Those who are faithful are noble at heart,
And no life is useless when God has a part.

Be swift to give praises and slow to complain....
God has a purpose for sunshine and rain.

WORDS OF WISDOM

Do more than exist, Live
Do more than touch, Feel
Do more than look, Observe
Do more than read, Absorb
Do more than hear, Listen
Do more than listen, Understand
Do more than think, Ponder
Do more than talk, Say Something!

OBSTACLES

For a long time it seemed to me
that real life was about to begin,
but there was always some obstacle in the way.
Something had to be got through first,
some unfinished business;
time still to be served,
a debt to be paid.
Then life would begin.
At last it dawned on me
that these obstacles were my life.

~By Bette Howland~

I ASKED GOD FOR STRENGTH...

I asked God for strength,
that I might achieve;
I was made weak, that I might learn to humbly obey.

I asked for health,
that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.

I asked for riches,
that I might be happy;
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.

I asked for power,
that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things,
that I might enjoy life;
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I asked for,
But everything I had hoped for.

I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

BALANCE WITHIN

So much of the time, I believe, we have much more room for activity and doing in our lives, but in some way convince ourselves we're just too busy. Too busy to talk with a friend, too busy to plant flowers, too busy to try something that we've always wanted to do. The list goes on and on. But the truth is that when we are imbalanced by not honoring what is best for us as individuals, even the most sedentary lifestyle can seem stressful.

It doesn't have to be that way though. At this time of new beginnings, perhaps it is time to have a renewed look at your dreams and aspirations. Determine what you wish to do, and what elements may be missing in your life that would give you the sense of balance and fullness once enjoyed. It is these things, sometimes very small, that will give you the sense of happiness if any can.

Choose well to know your dreams!

~Author Unknown~

DON'T EVER...

Don't ever try to understand everything,
some things will just never make sense.
Don't ever be reluctant to show your feelings
when you're happy, give into it!
When you're not, live with it.
Don't ever be afraid to try
to make things better,
you might be surprised at the results.
Don't ever take the weight of the world
on your shoulders.
Don't ever feel threatened by the future,
take life one day at a time.
Don't ever feel guilty about the past,
what's done is done.
Learn from any mistakes you might have made.
Don't ever feel that you are alone,
there is always somebody there
for you to reach out to.
Don't ever forget that you can achieve
so many of the things you can imagine,
imagine that!
It's not as hard as it seems.
Don't ever stop loving,
don't ever stop believing,
don't ever stop dreaming your dreams.

~By Laine Parsons~

ALWAYS HAVE A DREAM

Forget about the days when it's been cloudy,
but don't forget your hours in the sun.
Forget about the times you've been defeated,
but don't forget the victories you've won.
Forget about the mistakes
that you can't change now,
but don't forget the lessons.
Forget about the misfortunes you've encountered,
but don't forget the times your luck has turned.
Forget about the days when you've been lonely,
but don't forget the friendly smiles you've seen...
Forget about the plans
that didn't seem to work out right,
but don't forget to always have a dream.

~By C Willing~

ONE THING TO NEVER FORGET

One Thing To Never Forget
Your presence is a PRESENT to the world.
You're UNIQUE and one of a kind.
Your Life can be what YOU want it to be.
Take the days just one at a time

Count your BLESSINGS, not your troubles.
You'll make it through whatever comes along.
Within you are so many ANSWERS.
Understand, have courage, be STRONG.

Don't put LIMITS on Yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be REALIZED.
Decisions are too important to be left to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal, and your PRIZE.

Nothing wastes more ENERGY than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem, the HEAVIER it gets.
Don't take things too SERIOUSLY.
Live a life of SERENITY, not a life of regrets.

Remember that a little love GOES A LONG WAY.
Remember that a lot, goes FOREVER.
Remember that FRIENDSHIP is a wise investment.
Life's treasures are people...TOGETHER.

Realize that it's NEVER TOO LATE.
Do ordinary things in an EXTRAORDINARY way.
Have health and hope and HAPPINESS.
Take the time to wish UPON A STAR.

And don't EVER FORGET...
For EVEN A DAY...
HOW VERY SPECIAL YOU ARE.

~Author Unknown~

TAKE THE TIME

Take time to be friendly---
It is the road to happiness.

Take time to dream---
It is hitching your wagon to a star.

Take time to love and to be loved---
It is the privilege of the gods.

Take time to look around---
It is too short a day to be selfish.

Take time to laugh---
It is the music of the soul.

~Old English Prayer~

MAKE EACH DAY OF YOUR LIFE HAPPIER

Every Day ...
Share a kind word with a friend.
Give away a smile.
Tell one secret.
Listen to what someone has to say.
Listen with your heart,
to what someone cannot say.
Try one new thing.
Forgive one person who has hurt you.
Forgive yourself for past mistakes.
Realize your imperfections.
Discover your possibilities.
Make a new friend.
Accept responsibility for everything you do.
Refuse responsibility for anyone else's actions.
Dream one dream.
Watch the sunset.
Cherish what you have.
Cherish who you are.
Love your life.

"NIMROD" - The LORD of Christmas

"Nimrod started the great organized worldly apostasy from God that has dominated this world until now. Nimrod married his own mother, whose name was Semiramis. After Nimrod's death, his so-called mother-wife, Semiramis, propagated the evil doctrine of the survival of Nimrod as a spirit being. She claimed a full-grown evergreen tree sprang overnight from a dead tree stump, which symbolized the springing forth unto new life of the dead Nimrod. On each anniversary of his birth, she claimed, Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree
and leave gifts upon it. December 25th, was the birthday of Nimrod. This is the real origin of the Christmas tree."

    -The Plain Truth About Christmas
    by David J. Stewart | December 24th, 2005

"Traditionally, a yule log was burned in the fireplace
on Christmas Eve and during the night as the log's embers died, there appeared in the room, as if by magic, a Christmas tree surrounded by gifts. The yule log represented the sun-god Nimrod and the Christmas tree represented himself resurrected as his own son Tammuz."--After Armageddon -Chapter 4 Where do we get our ideas? by John A. Sarkett

"So our Christmas tree -- and our yule log -- have
tremendous meaning, but not a Christian meaning.
The yule log is the dead Nimrod, human ruler of
ancient Babylon, who was eventually deified as the
sun incarnate, and hence a god. The Christmas tree
is mystical Tammuz, the slain god come to life again."
    --After Armageddon -Chapter 4
Where do we get our ideas?
    by John A. Sarkett

    The Real Origin of Christmas

"The real origin of Christmas goes back to ancient
Babylon. It is bound up in the organized apostasy
with which Satan has gripped a deceived world these
many centuries! In Egypt, it was always believed that
the son of Iris (Egyptian name for "Queen of Heaven")
was born December 25th. Semiramis also bore the title
"Queen of Heaven" - and she was Nimrod's mother.
Paganism celebrated this famous birthday over most
of the known world for centuries before the birth
    of Christ."
    -The Plain Truth About Christmas
    by David J. Stewart | December 24th, 2005

"Christmas as a pagan holiday traces back
thousands of years before to a man named Nimrod,
    founder of ancient pagan Babylon."
    -Christmas Unwrapped
    From the History Channel
    by Alan Mansager

"December 25 was highly honored and recognized
    by Nimrod's supporters...Many centuries later
this pagan custom was "Christianized" as being
    the birthday of Christ."

    Nimrod's birthday. Generally, all mankind
is fast asleep, dreaming this old Babylonian dream."
    -The Story Of Nimrod,
As It Relates To Christmas And Easter
    by Wilhelm J Wolfaardt

    A Deception of Satan

"Jesus Christ was NOT born on December 25.
But December 25th can be traced back to Genesis
and a man named Nimrod. Nimrod was the founder
of a great false religious system that began in
ancient Babylon that has always opposed the truths
of God. It’s time we face facts! This world is deceived,
just as God prophesied it would be (Rev. 12:9).
Satan is the power behind this deception.
Satan has successfully pawned off the old customs
of the Babylonian mystery religion as being pleasing
    to Jesus Christ."

    A Corruption Against Jehovah God

"As the people increased in number,
the Way of Jehovah was corrupted
and a principal figure in those days was Nimrod,
the grandson of Ham described as a mighty hunter
before Jehovah. The word 'before' used in this
sense means, 'totally antagonistic to Jehovah.'
We celebrate Christmas on a date which coincides
with the birthday of Nimrod - the villainous king
    of ancient Babylon."

    VOLUME I No.2 - JUNE 1999
    'NARROW IS THE WAY'
    By Harry Lancaster
"Nimrod, who built Babel or Babylon, conceived a
one world government model in rebellion against
Jehovah-God and went about to establish a one world
government in the land of Shinar (which is today
known as Iraq) and institute a pagan worship system
that rejected the Lord God Jehovah."

"Not only has the original Babylonian religious system
served as the source of all the world’s non-Christian
religions, hut it has also infiltrated and corrupted
    Christendom to an alarming degree."
--Babylon - Source of False Religion
"Babylon, Mystery Religion" by Ralph Woodrow
"Nimrod was a great grandson of Noah.
Nimrod became a "mighty tyrant in the face of Jehovah."
Much of the Babylonian worship was carried on through
mysterious symbols - thus the "Mystery" religion.
This system of idolatry spread from Babylon to the
nations, for it was from this location that men were
scattered over the face of the earth (Gen. 11:9).
As they went from Babylon, they took their occult
worship and its various mystery symbols with them."

Nimrod and - His Mother - Semiramis
    were the -- "MODELS" --
    after which Satan Fashioned
all other False gods and goddesses
"Thus from Babylon emerged the entire complex of
human "religion". the various gods and goddesses
of Rome, Greece, India, Egypt, and other nations
can be identified with corresponding gods from Babel."
--Babylon - Source of False Religion
"Babylon, Mystery Religion" by Ralph Woodrow
Here - Below - is a partial list of some gods that were fashioned after Nimrod -
    according to Secular Scholars -

Christendom is Tied to False gods

Christendom will not admit, that by compromising with the pagans of
the world when adopting December 25th as Christ's birthday - they have
tied themselves into honoring all the pagan gods of the world.

    How so ?
Almost all the pagan gods - who are nothing more than "Nimrod" reincarnated,
all claim December 25th as their birthday. The list is exhaustive.

Many False Gods - Whose Birthday was "December 25"
    Fashioned After "NIMROD"

"December 25th - not only was Mithra, the sun-god of
Mithraism, said to be born at this time of the year,
but Osiris, Horus, Hercules, Bacchus, Adonis, Jupiter,
Tammuz, and other sun-gods were also supposedly born
at what is today called the "Christmas" season, the winter solstice!
    - Doane, p.474;
    - "The Two Babylons; Alexander Hislop, p.93.

"The "winter solstice (December) was the time at which all the
    sun-gods
"from Osiris to Jupiter" and Mithra had celebrated
    their (birth
days) - the celebration being adorned with
the pine tree of Adonis, the holly of Saturn, and the
    mistletoe
    (of the pagan Druids).....tapers(candles) represented
the kindling of the newborn sun-god's fire..."
    -Man and His Gods, p.201.

"Subtly...the old gods had entered their churches...
And they live still in the festivals of Christianity."
    -(Testament: The Bible and History,
    Romer, 1988, pp. 230-31)

    In Sharp Contrast to Jesus

And here we have Jesus Christ who was born in a warm month when the
flocks were still outdoors at night - as ample proof that a compromise has been
made. December 25th was celebrated by the pagans in Christ's day, but
he and his early followers would have NO PART of it.

"It is evident that Jesus was NOT born during the middle of winter,
for at the time of his birth, the shepherds were living out in the fields
with their flocks. As the bible says: 'There were in the same country
shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night"
    (Luke 2:8).
As is well known, the shepherds in Palestine do NOT
"abide in the fields" during the winter season because of the extreme,
    cold temperatures
    .
The shepherds always bring their flocks in
from the mountain slopes and fields
no later than October 15th! "
    - Mede's Works, 1679. Discourse xlvii

    Christ's First Followers -
    REFUSED to Celebrate December 25th

"On your day of gladness, we [Christians] neither cover
our doorposts with wreaths, nor intrude upon the day with lamps.
At the call of public festivity, you consider it a proper thing
to decorate your house like some new brothel.
We are accused of a lower sacrilege because
we do not celebrate along with you the holidays ..."
    - (Tertullian, (A.D. 155-220), 2001, p. 1176).
(quoted by David Bercot, A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs,
    1998, p. 342).

"The pagan Romans clad their doorposts with green and branching
    laurels...In the Saturnalia...Presents come and go...There are...gifts...
and Banquets...yet Christians should have no acquaintance with
    the festivals of the pagans."

    quoted by David Bercot,
    A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs, 1998, p. 342).

"In the days of Christ, December 25th
was sacred to the pagan Romans..."
    -The Xmas Story Part 4
    "Heathen Holidays" by Denise Snodgrass
CHRISTMAS AND PAGANISM; The Winter Solstice

"Familiar to early Christians was the Saturnalia,
an ancient Roman festival celebrated during the
last days of December in honour of Saturn, the god
    of agriculture. The Saturnalia...was diametrically
opposed to the teachings of Christ."
    - Hidden Truths About Christmas
    UCG; Australia

"To the pagans, the Saturnalia was fun.
To the Christians, the Saturnalia was an
    abomination
in homage to a disreputable god
    who had no existence anyway."
    -4,000 Years of Christmas:
A Gift from the Ages (1997)

    "At the time of persecution,
    Christians were detected
    by NOT decorating their houses
at the Saturnalia. The ancient Christians
were puritanically jealous of anything that
might seem like coqueting with idolatry. "
    -Crippen
"Gift Giving - during the Roman festival of Saturnalia,
gifts were given as good luck emblems and houses were
decorated with greenery. The early Christians, however,
frowned on this pagan ritual, and wouldn't have any part of it."
    - Christmas Traditions & Trivia
    1999 HFCWillcox
"Faithful men of God who knew and loved
the Scriptures of truth fought against
the mingling of paganism with the name of Christ.

It was already bottled and labelled before the first

It went with that dispersion into every country and nation

    I APOLOGIZE

I apologize for all the seen and unseen lies,
For the heartache and pain that brought tears in your eyes.

I apologize for not being true from the start,
for running away from you, leaving a hole in your heart.

For ignoring your feelings and pushing them aside, because I was too damn arrogant and pumped up with pride.

I apologize for making promises that I couldn`t keep, for building a foundation based on treachery and deceit.

Being selfish and inconsiderate, I did what I wanted to do,
making costly decisions without thinking of you.

I apologize for not holding you through restless nights and stormy days, for my immature thoughts and my foolish ways.

Instead of carrying your love with me, I just threw it on the
shelf, after we made love I turned away, only thinking of myself.

You cried your heart for me, while I was out running wild and loose, I destroyed the essence of your love with physical, mental, and emotional abuse.

I gave you hell by giving up when times got rough, I didn`t slap you, I pushed you, I neglected you - even that`s bad enough!

Now I see why you build a wall around you, because it is me you despise, but that`s the price that I have to pay for all the times I wore a disguise.

APPARANTLY WRITTEN BY A BLACK MAN, THIS POEM IS DEEP THOUGH AN APOLOGY CAN MEEN SO MUCH AND IS A TREMENDOUS SIGN OF VALOUR. I LIKE THIS A LOT SUCH BEAUTIFUL WORDS.

I LIKE THIS A LOT THOUGHT I'D SHARE.

    What Do Men Want???

First of all a man is seeking a love-interest. This may surprise many women but men like to love and they like being loved in return. The problem is that many women come across as impassioned and cold. It is not easy to find a loving woman and it is very noticeable how many men try and hang on when they think they have found their Miss Right.
    *

Men are seeking a woman who is attractive to them. Women may despair that men can be so shallow and that looks could matter so much but be careful. Men aren't necessarily looking for a catwalk model and many men don't like women who weigh 80lbs. But men do want a woman who takes pride in their appearance (though not excessively). Men are proud of having a girlfriend who looks good and I don't believe any man who says otherwise.
    *

Men are looking for a trustworthy girl, someone they can have faith in and someone who will be there for them. This may sound like an odd thing to say, but the fact is, some women are not trustworthy and many are not faithful either. So many in fact that men are increasingly wary. That kiss at a Christmas party may not count, or the flirtatious behavior with the gorgeous barman and in fact its all great fun and part of a woman's character. But reverse the situation and as a woman, you hate him doing the same. A man can never forgive a woman being unfaithful and so he is looking for someone who he really does trust.
    *

Men want to make a home eventually and are looking for a woman who will be a willing sharer in home life. Women with a sociable lifestyle are attractive because they can be relied upon to keep the social diary running in a long term relationship.
    *

Men are seeking women who are feminine gentle and kind because deep down the qualities that make a woman a great mother are an attraction in themselves. I am not suggesting that the man himself needs mothering, though some do, it is more the point that men seek the attributes in women that point to someone who would make a great mother to future offspring.

Men want women with a great sense of humor. Women often come across as uptight or too bothered by too many small details. You will sometimes hear mention of a girl who is 'one of the boys'. What this means is that she is able to fit in with their humor and is sociable and fun to be with. Such women are extremely attractive to many men. Men want to have a good time and relax when not working and so their ideal partners are women who are able to do the same.

Men are looking for women who retain their femininity and and are caring and kind. In recent years, aping men may be a female fashion statement, but it doesn't make them attractive. Whilst every woman in the world burps and farts and has the right to drink pints of beer, it doesn't necessarily attract them to the opposite sex. Women can get angry and say well men will just have to get used to it, but the issue is that they don't. They can just choose not to go for women who act in the same way as their drinking buddies.

Men want someone who is supportive. Many women are quick to criticize men in their behavior, career and set about trying to alter them and mould them. This is a crucial mistake. Men can be manipulated yes, but they see their partnerships as support systems. The best relationships work both ways in terms of support. Where a woman is not able or willing to give that support and is too quick to criticize then she may lose her man.

Men don't like angry women who shout. They want a woman who can debate and converse and is able to discuss. Communication is king. A fiery passionate temperament may have made you interesting and challenging on day one. But by day 500 it holds no glory whatsoever.

Men love a challenging woman, someone who keeps them on their toes. Men are generally lazy in relationships once they feel they're in secure territory. When a man is challenged so he does something about it. If you want to keep your man interested, keep him challenged.

Men are generally more reserved about sex than women. This is my experience is a fact. Men know what they like in bed and tend to stick to it. The adventurous sexual appetite in most men isn't there even if they are convinced it is. Men in reality are quite conservative. Sexually adventurous has nothing to do with having lots of partners and more to do with the things they will try with the same partner. In most test cases I have conducted, it is the man who looks for a quiet time in the bedroom and the woman who ultimately becomes bored.

Men want a woman who will commit to them. Though increasingly this is hard to find, it doesn't take away the wish. Men want a girlfriend who they can share with and trust and be open with. Commitment is not a one way street and therefore men are struggling to find the levels of commitment they found previously. But the need is still there.

Men don't want to be alone. First of all a man is seeking a love-interest. This may surprise many women but men like to love and they like being loved in return. The problem is that many women come across as impassioned and cold. It is not easy to find a loving woman and it is very noticeable how many men try and hang on when they think they have found their Miss Right.

Men want to make a home eventually and are looking for a woman who will be a willing sharer in home life. Women with a sociable lifestyle are attractive because they can be relied upon to keep the social diary running in a long term relationship.
