Manchester United's Paul Scholes has announced his retirement aged 36. Midfielder Scholes made his United debut in 1994, making 676 appearances, and will now join the coaching staff. The news came after he helped the club win a record 19th league title, the 10th of his career, and his last game was Saturday's Champions League final loss to Barcelona. "This was not a decision I've taken lightly but I feel now is the right time for me to stop playing," he said. The famously low key Scholes stated: "I am not a man of many words but I can honestly say that playing football is all I have ever wanted to do and to have had such a long and successful career at Manchester United has been a real honour. News - Sean Kingston Hospitalized In Critical Condition

Last night Sean Kingston was sent to the hospital in critical condition after a jet ski accident Sunday night. According to TMZ, Sean was with a female passenger on the jet-ski when he crashed into a bridge. The accident happened around 6 pm last night. A good Samaritan saw the accident, called 9-1-1 and rescued the couple. The two were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital where Kingston was sent immediately to the trauma ward due to the severity of his injuries. According to investigators, alcohol did not play a role in the tragic incident. A rep told TMZ: “Sean Kingston was in an accident today. No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well-wishes.” Celebrities have been tweeting their sympathies to the family and sending their best wishes. FIRSTLY THE SCRUBBERJACK PRODUCTIONS TEAM HAD ARRANGED THE VENUE AND A GROUP OF CHILDREN TO COME AS EXTRAS BUT THEY IMPROMPTLY STARTED DROPPING OUT #FAIL.. IF THAT WASN'T BAD ENOUGH I GET TO BIRMINGHAM TRAIN STATION MUCH TO MY CHAGRIN FOR THEM TO TELL ME THAT NO TRAINS ARE RUNNING TO COVENTRY I WOULD HAVE TO GET OFF AT THE AIRPORT AND THEN CATCH A RAIL REPLACEMENT COACH!! A New Orleans-based rapper known to his fans as Tre-8 died after a car accident in Algiers Saturday night, his mother confirmed today. Aubrey Edwards Walter McCallon, known as Tre-8, in a picture taken for "Where They At: New Orleans Hip-Hop and Bounce in Words and Pictures, " an exhibition at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Tam McCallon Fischer said Tre-8, whose real name was Walter McCallon, 37, died in a hospital after the accident on Tullis and Woodland drives. His daughter, two nieces, a nephew and the mother of his children were in the car with him at the time, and are all in the hospital, Fischer said. McCallon attended L.B. Landry and O. News - Boy found guilty of murdering Yajay Sudra in Erdington

A 16-year-old boy has been found guilty of murdering a man in Birmingham as he walked home from work. Lamah Prince, 16, Was found guilty of stabbing shop worker Yajay Sudra near his home on 9 July. The court heard Prince had probably attacked the 21-year-old in an attempt to rob him. Birmingham Crown Court was told he had shown "exceptional interest" in coverage of the death and had confessed he was the killer to a girl he knew. 'Would not answer' He was convicted by an 11-1 majority verdict on Friday. Mr Sudra, who worked in WH Smith at Birmingham Airport, had been carrying a bag when he was stabbed through the heart, close to his home in Marsh Lane, Erdington.
