Poem: The Doors

The Doors Everything logical says I mustn't, The doors it may open.. Where it could lead, But I remember being left feeling despondent, And that door I'd rather see closed, Now I wander with much trepidation, Gingerly making steps, A quest of enchantment testing my human fabric, Embarking on new horizons, Windows of opportunity mysteriously unknown, But like a revolving door I'm back at the same position, Immersed in a space-time continuum, Visualizing change...... From one extremity to another, Opening different realms, Realistically though some have tried and tested, I haven't.. so I must! What is behind door number 1? Will it provide a happy life? Door number 2 bodes shades of a simpler time... Door 3 a blind spot not known to others, But secretly known to self, Cannot evade such a cruel inhibition, When intuition is cognizant, Still irresolute the choice becomes impending. Appropriately entitled the crystal ship as Inspired by the same title track of The Doors. A poem about escapism The Crystal Ship Before I slip into unconsciousness, I visualize the crystal ship, Experience a world of bliss, In sanctuary you won't forget, And as the world comes falling down, Take shelter in the underground, Enclosed within wonderful sights, Lift off and we take flight, I've got to get away on a journey to another plane, Head spiraling around like a hurricane, Search for escape all the time, I need a guide to lead me through the labyrinth in my mind, A journey through the eyes of a troubled soul, Sympathy evoked from the struggle & woes, Will the storm finally weather, I long to escape to a place from the all the pressure, I long for some pleasure once again, The final measure a new beginning, No longer to listen, To wasted ambitions, Hypocrites giving there best catechism, A fall from grace, Driven to a place, I can r...
