The Mystery of PLANKING

Now cadres im sure most of you are aware of the phenominon known as planking which as been sweeping the social networking sites, for those whom are unaware Planking is described as the practice of lying down flat with arms to the side , to mimic a wooden plank. With the idea of doing this at work or obscure places such as on sculptures, benches etc totally wherever the person sees fit!

With that said there have been rumors of people dying whilst attempting planks which I think is greatly exaggerated and now the following message which has been going around on FB/BBM

“Planking has roots in slavery. Slaves captured in Africa were stowed away on ships during the “Middle Passage” journey during the late 16th century. Slaves used the planks as beds. The act of “planking” became a fad by two guys traveling through England, but actual planking began at the start of the slave trade as captured African were transported by ships to the New World.PLANKING!!

Slaves were chained and attached to plank beds. They were forced to lay face down with their arms by their side and their wrist was chained to their waist.

Some were even stacked on top of each other with no room to move. Not many of the slaves survived, many dying from dehydration and disease.

You can't always jump on the bandwagon just because you saw someone else doing it.
Educate yourself before being a follower."

Now where do I start with this not am I just defending this as a "planker" but I see this game to be a bit of lighthearted fun and far be it to be a case of everyone being followers, as we all follow one thing or another.

Here we have an example of moral condemnation. Is this rational? For something so miniscule as a facebook game for those who are so against planking for its supposed roots to slavery, where do they stand against enslaved people that still exists today? People often argue the word nigger has conotations going back to slavery,
but it has been taken and used for comradary and good is the moral parameter differing for planking? as i'm sure nobody who has took part was gloryfying slavery.

I find it funny how with an issue like this so many are outraged and want to stand up against it but when real issues are going on where's there voice then?

Planking is a bit of fun, its creative its artistic! NO its not for everyone, YES some take it too far but if you don't like it then pay it no mind and let the people who enjoy it do as they feel!! That's my 2 pence :P

“He's A King Manipulator” P Diddy’s Bodyguard Makes Explosive New Claims

Over the last few days, footage of rapper Sean Combs aka P Diddy violently assaulting singer Cassie Ventura in a hotel was leaked to the public. Piers Morgan invites Diddy’s former head of security, Roger Bonds, onto the show to find out the truth. Bonds doesn’t shy away from controversy, saying that Diddy’s recent apology video was ‘just saying what people wanted to hear’ and calls him a ‘king manipulator’ and an ‘arrogant person’. Piers then brings in YouTuber and hip hop commentator DJ Vlad, who says that ‘a lot of people who doubted Cassie are now apologising’.
