News: Birmingham Trio jailed for almost half a century

tb20111021-1614.jpg THREE MEN, Horace Ferguson, Elijah Akil Brown and Joshua Parchment, have been sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court today (Friday 21 October).
Elijah Brown received seven years for conspiracy to commit armed robbery (reduced due to a guilty plea) and five years for possession of a sawn off shotgun at Costco in March 2009. The sentences will run concurrently.

Joshua Parchment received 10 years for conspiracy to commit armed robbery and five years for possession of a sawn off shotgun at Costco in March 2009. The sentences will run concurrently.

Horace Ferguson received 10 years for conspiracy to commit armed robbery five years for possession of a sawn off shotgun at Costco in March 2009. The sentences will run consecutively, giving a total of 15 years.
The men were arrested on Tuesday 8 September 2009 as a result of a proactive operation by West Midlands Police's Serious and Organised Crime Unit, during which a loaded sawn off single barrelled shotgun was recovered.
Det Insp Ian Green said: "These men posed a serious threat to their victims and the public and this is a significant result for WMP and our community."
The news of the sentences comes during a forcewide crackdown on robbers, codenamed operation Serve and Protect.
