PREVIEW OF MY UPCOMING ARTICLE IN REAL TALK MAGAZINE

" Last edition of the magazine I had to opportunity to introduce myself and give a preview into some of the work that I am working on. What was predominately featured was the book which I’m in the midst of devising entitled “Memorandum of Understanding” which explores love, intimacy and commitment in today’s relationships. Since then I’ve been continuing my work on said but also have gained the opportunity to embark on some new ventures. I’ve been working with children and young people this past year providing open opportunities to play and enjoy their leisure time and to learn and develop in fun, friendly, safe and caring environments for children and young people aged between four and thirteen years old. This has been an enriching experience to work with the youth of a city which has a vast amount of children and young people and be an advocate for there rights to play, and the benefits of play. Recently I have also undertaken studies in the area of violence against women and the effect it has on children as in the majority of families where there are children, and where abuse is being perpetrated, the children will be aware of this, and will often hear it or see it going on. Recently there was the worldwide 16 day campaign with a calendar of events and activity to raise awareness and galvanize action to end violence against women and children. "

Esther and Tomi are indignant at what they see as males replacing females in women’s sport, while Francesca says she’s ‘embarrassed to be a woman’ when other women 'freak out' about trans athletes. The row boils over into an analysis of American Football player Harrison Butker, who used his address at Benedictine College to tell women that their most important title is homemaker.
